  1. Hello Atty!
My friend who was staying here with a temporary visitor’s visa for about 18 months, exit the country without any problems. He tried to come back with a temporary visitors visa. But he was excluded by the Airport Immigration last July, 2015. I have got a certification from the main office that he is not in black list. In the derogatory records it was mentioned that he was excluded under sec 29(a) – 17 of the immigration act.
My question is do we need to file petition for lifting/waiver the order for exclusion? what is the procedure? Is there any payment for this?

    1. That means that he was excluded because of invalid or lacking documentation. That could be because the passport is near expiration, he has no visa, he has no exit ticket, etc. He can request for a waiver of exclusion, but it is unlikely that it would be allowed unless he has a very good reason.
